Back again in 2026, come join us for an introductory class on wildlife tracking! If you’ve wanted to go deeper into understanding how to read the tracks and sign of animals on your walks and hikes, this is the workshop for you. This is a practice that uses all of our senses and animal bodies to tell stories, do community science and build interspecies relationships.
In this workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of tracking through play, exercises, and theory. We will learn about:
movement patterns (gaits)
foot morphology
stretching our awareness and perception
building familiarity with animal families and local ecology
You will be set up with the tools to track on your own as well as a sense of how to learn and deepen in this practice on your own time!
Location: Biblioterre Co-op (169 chemin Parent, Alcove), on unceded Algonquin Anishinaabeg teritory.
Date: March 14th, 10-1pm
Price: 45$ regular price, or sliding scale 20-30$. If cost is still a barrier, please reach out.
