Les Bobettes is a five-voice vocal group that originated in a living room in Ripon, in the Outaouais region*, driven by five singers: Audrey Girard-Miron, Alix Pugeaut, Mygale B. Desrosiers, Camille Faubert, and Mathilde Boual. The project stems from a desire to sing together, a shared passion for oral tradition, and a feminist perspective on cultural heritage. Drawing on the traditional repertoires of their respective cultures to create original arrangements and compositions, they use polyphonic a cappella singing to explore themes, either humorous or dark, found in the folklore of Quebec, Occitania, and beyond.
